Lakeville Area Schools urges families to help prevent the spread of winter illnesses, including influenza and strep throat, by following health guidelines, notifying the school of absences, and informing the nurse of confirmed diagnoses to ensure the safety of the school community.

The Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education held its organizational meeting on Jan. 7, welcoming new members, electing officers, setting the meeting schedule, and designating Sun Thisweek as the district's official publication.

On Friday, March 24, second grade students at Eastview Elementary assembled 400 sandwiches for the Sandwich Project of Minnesota.
